*Originally, Ottawa County’s Central
Church, Opera House, School Center, Music–Theater Hall, and
the Town Meeting Center, 1870 — An Historic Town Hall Structure
at the Gateway of West
Michigan's Grand River Valley. Founding architect,
Chauncey Blakeslee, built what has been known
as the Armory
originally, as the builder and developer as well of the
Grand Haven Grand Theater, Presbyterian Church, and Spring
Lake Country Club. Blakeslee also organized the Spring
Lake Yacht Club and coordinated various other area clubs and
business ventures central to the growth of Grand Haven City
— Ottawa County Seat, and, so, Ottawa County.
